Once again Lil ole me (CC) needs to be on time for these events, I arrived to the Ace Hood Listening event at Jungle City Studio in the NYC. I entered the building and awaited the opening of the elevator, as the doors opened fame rapper Fabolous and his entourage step out complaining of the crowdedness upstairs in the studio. Already after looking upon the tall rapper and hearing the complaint i felt a lil relief. The doors open to the hall leading to the studio and BAM! The crowd is packed like sardines in a box, automatically I wasnt too happy. I made my way thru crowded studio seeing fellow bloggers/writers/promoters: JasFly (JASFLY.com), Mecca (Source mag), Jumz(CrackDVDLatino.com), Chris Lewis (KarenCivil.com), DJ Tommy Gunz(Goodfellastv.com) and plenty more faces in the heated space. Security was fickle, full of that bullsh*t. Too small of a venue it was, to have held such an artist like popular Ace Hood alongside "We the best" DJ KHaled. There was Unlimited supply of alcohol all night and much booty poppin groupies. Networking poppin and Foolery was at all time high! Never have I seen so much perpetrating folks in my life! Like I observed at Ace Hood event lastnight. Ace Hood music was poppin though, the radio friendly "Hustle Hard" and "Go, Get it" had the audience hype then going thru each single there were hit and misses. The lady friendly single featuring Chris Brown "Body to Body" (available on video now) was aight though it wasn't Ace's best work. Ace Hood brings to the game what I like bout Southern dudes "Reality". He goes much into depth bout the harsh conditions of the street life in much of his music and many shoutouts to those in his life before the fame. It definitely an upgrade/improvement from his previous line of work. I applaud him and his new found success, hopefully this is embark on a new error for the young artist...Over and OUT!
Snoop Dogg has had me spellbound from my elementary years, when he came out with self titled song "Snoop Dogg".... I was always told I was singing it wrong, I personally didn't care. I was in love with HipHop especially Westcoast rap. Legendary Tupac and Snoop Dogg tantalized my young ears. This year Snoop Dogg does it again, the radio in NYC doesn't give this single much airplay so, Browneyedqweens will do the honor of pushing it for awhile. When this song comes on it seduces me from head to toe. My hips move ever so smoothly side to side, I bite down hard on my bottom lip as I close my eyes and let my imagination take off..lol Ladies ya'll see where I'm going... enjoy!
Mic check 1,2..1,2 Latino Flavor takes over the airwaves! Browneyedqweens had the pleasure of attending the OFFICIAL LATINO CRACK DVD LAUNCH PARTY! Endorsed by the infamous Terrell Blair of Hoodlifemovement.com
Latino are the take over *giggles* Bigups to the Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Panamanians, and so much more! I was loving the unity the huge crowd was live! Jadakiss official Latino Artist Chardy Arty spit a couple verses, Los Herons had the ladies wide open, Jaysun got the crowd jumpin with his single featuring Jim Jones, and the cutie Cristian Dior made special appearance on stage. Familiar faces in the crowd were none other than Yo Soy magazine, Alist radio and Jojo Simmons who looked quite raggedy.. I'm just sayin. It was a night of live entertainment many other artist reppin for the Latinos graced the stage. For more footage and love for the Latinos checkout www.crackdvdlatino.com and hoodlifemovement.com

THERE ARE MOMENTS IN LIFE THAT WILL BRING YOU DOWN AND IT ALMOST SEEMS THERE ISNT NO LIFE LEFT IN YOU. YOU TOSSED MANY A NIGHTS AND TEARS STREAMED DOWN YOUR FACE. MANY TIMES YOU THOUGHT BOUT GIVING UP YOUR LIFE TO THAT GUN,KNIFE,DRUG,ALCOHOL ETC. YOU WATCH THE DAYS GO BY, SMILE WHEN INSIDE YOU WANT TO CRY,LAUGH WHEN YOU WANT TO SCREAM AND IT JUST CONTINUES TO NEVER STOP. I'VE BEEN THERE MANY A TIMES, AND MY KIDS GET ME THROUGH EACH DAY. I WANT TO WRITE MORE ON THIS SUBJECT CALLED DEPRESSION. YOU SEE YOU HAVENT EXPERIENCED LIFE TO ITS FULLEST UNTIL YOU HAVE DISCOVERED DEPRESSION,SLEEPLESS NIGHTS AND STRESS. YOU HAVENT EXPERIENCED WHAT IT IS TO BE BROUGHT DOWN TILL YOU TOTALLY HAVE GONE TO YOUR BREAKING POINT OF WNATING TO COMMIT SUICIDE. THIS SONG BY KELLY PRICE SEEPS INTO MY SOUL AND BRINGS ME TO TEARS. I HAVE BEEN TIRED AND HER WORDS ELECTRIFY WHAT BEEN BREWING IN MY LIFE FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. I DONT KNOW IF YOU CAN RELATE SISTERS OR EVEN GENTLEMEN... BUT I WILL END THIS IF YOU MUST CRY AND SCREAM GET IT OUT NOW CAUSE YOUR LIFE IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN YOU'LL EVER BELIEVE. CONFRONT YOUR DEMONS/ISSUES CAUSE WE ALL HAVE THEM. IF GOD WANTED YOU GONE YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN BUT HE'S KEPT YOU THUS FAR SO WALK WITH THAT IN MIND BE ENCOURAGE....
I interviewed this artist "Derty Den" for my sister site Lilmiss.blogspot.com as many labels were fighting for his position at their companies. The artist Derty Den is a tall humble dude with a whole lotta things to say. He reps North Cak aka North Carolina has won various awards on the Underground Circuit and now is generating a new buzz... Currently the Southern artist must have had new creativity spark inside of him cause this is definitely a different route for Den as the hood artist I've come to know him by. I am proud of him and his new music.. peep the video let us know what you think
It has come to the World's attention that the beloved British singer Amy Winehouse was reported found in her London home dead. Reports stated that the Grammy winning singer had overdosed. Fans and Stars alike have poured out their saddness to the death of the famed singer. Amy Winehouse had hits like "Frank" "Rehab" and grammy winner "Fade to Black"... My heart is soar due to her death, I enjoyed her music and definitely related to it. She will be missed and the dying long anticipation for her followup album now will never see the lite of day. Depression and other issues, she allowed to over take her. RIP AMY WINEHOUSE
Many have posted the video of the critical acclaimed new documentary "Watch The Throne" featuring the awesome rap dual "Kanye West" and "Jay-Z". Browneyedqweens decided to post as well but I felt compelled to do more. Basically speak on the matter. Kanye West and Jay-Z have had a musical and personal relationship for years, since the days of the Rocafella days. It isn't surprising that they finally joined forces to create an epic piece of work.
Music is universal and astronomical. Kanye West is passionate of all that he creates and Jay-Z is mystical almost unstoppable in the rap career he has paved for himself.... Watch The Throne seems like a threat, ironic coming from two massive entities in the current era of HipHop. Big Sean and Consequence made the same notion be known in separate interviews. We have nowadays Whiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, Drake and im sure before 2011 is done another prime talent will come out to make the "Throne" even more impossible to obtain. Im looking to be astounished aren't you?
words by Candace "CC" Campbell
“As an artist I just love the facts that my music could possible make someone feel good, and become motivated to take it to the next level. That’s what I want for people, to find peace, love, and prosperity. That’s why I say that at the end of all my messages because I’m searching for it and so should all my people” - Dremur
How can I describe Dremur? Ummm for starters how about hungry, passionate, laid back, and funny. Oh wait and my favorite he's "Mr Edible". The young Bronx native has taken the underground scene by storm since emerging into the rap game late Fall 2009. Dremur has found himself sharing stages with various up and coming artists such as Yc the Cynic, Kalil Kash, Wordspit, Hi-Jynx, Eric Sosa and so many other artist. My opinion Dremur is like a smooth mix of Common, Kanye, and Q-Tip. I got a chance to enjoy Dremur perform live at Harlem's own "The Vault". It was a dope performance. I was able to speak with him for a few minutes before the crowd tookover and music leaked from the speakers on stage. I honestly have to say he is a real humble dude. Dremur's stage presence spoke volumes of creativity!!! He has rocked shows from across states such as New York, New Jersey,Philly and much more. For more info on up and comming appearences and shows keep in contact with him on twitter @DREMURMUSIC
Speaking of Philly, I think Lloyd better watch his back because Philly's heart-throb the talented Beano has some heat for the summer. Beano the Gentleman was another opening performance before Dremur took the stage and boy was I surprised! Just when I thought I was going to be listening to another MC he starts singing! Beano has a beautiful voice and his stage prescence is so youthful and fun like. The ladies in the crowd were amazed and lullibied almost had he just sang to us. Guys and dolls I am telling you guys to check him and his music out! For more information on Beano the Gentleman you can find him on facebook: Beano and on twitter @JustBeano

The new mother, Precious and Jumping The Broom actress "Paula Patton" is rumored to possibly star in the remake of the popular movie "Sparkle", which is a 1976 classic. The film is said to be directed by "Salim Akil" of Akil Productions, who also directed Jumping the Broom. I would be all to excited to see this, however i feel that once a classic is made it should be left alone. Such movies are made once in a lifetime. Keep your ears tuned in, it just might happen for the starlet Paula Patton.
We were definitely happy to hear new music from the Southern Queen "Monica" (Any,To find You ft. Rick Ross& Lil Kim)but as of now there have been reports of negative reflection on the new single by none other than "Ms. Voletta Wallace". Thats right good ole "Notorious BIG" mother and owner of his musical estate which holds the sampled song in question "Who Shot Ya". Apparently Biggie’s mom, Voletta Wallace cleared the sample for use to Monica, but then she retracted the clearance once she found out "Lil Kim" was on the track. I guess the lil beef they had in the past still holds all too well till this day. And I thought Voletta was a Christian, oh excuse me a Jehovahs Witness, typical. Anyhoot, the new song is hot especially being a kind of throw back for the Queen Bee but if all else fails in trying to keep her on the song, she can always just use Biggie's words like she normally has done for the past couple of year's. Check out the song in our new music archive and also read Monica's timeline @Monica on twitter.
I am a big softee for ole skool sampled music, so to my surprise while listening to my daily shuffle of music on the "NET" I came across a talented sixteen year old outta Texas. His name CLC, what does that mean? I dont know but Im curious to findout just like you all. In the video above CLC rhymes over what appears to sound like an ole skool sampled that was tweaked a bit. The song seems to base of the feelings CLC has for a particular girl and the breaking of the ice when meeting her. Im feelin this coming up artist from the infamous state of the legendary rap group "UGK"... for more info on the talented artist CLC check out www.helloswiffa.com

Browneyedqweens first heard of this UK artist "Tinie Tempah" on our brotherly site Hoodlifemovement.com (vist in our favorites) It seems as if the States are being flooded with UK artist extremely fast as American artist invade UK lately... Anyhoot peep new music video w/the UK sensation Grime/pop affilate along side Pittsburghs own Atlantic rap artist "Whiz Khalifa
"He’s reshaped the landscape of British black music, had more record deals than any self-respecting artist you can think of and is regarded as a legend, genius and probable mad man. If you’re looking for the epitome of a paradox, 32-year old Richard Cowie is most certainly that guy."(dazeddigital.com)
He is infamously known for being the creator for "GRIME" music, Richard Cowie, 32, has made major comeback on the music scene. Grime music is generated from Black hood of London,Grime is English music that first emerged from Bow, East London, England in the early 2000s, primarily as a development of UK garage, dancehall, and hip hop. Popular artists who use the style include "Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Kano, Jammer, Newham Generals, Crazy Titch and Ghetts"
I was introduced to grime music back in the myspace days. Dazed Ditigal had a candid sit down with the semi like GrandMaster Flash, whom Cowie speaks on in his interview with the magazine. I believe music is so inspiring and has no limitations as to how great it can be. Also above is the recent music from Richard Cowie entitled "Gangsters"..... tell us what you think
Apparently based on reports in the ATL area... Recording producer "Jazze Pha" is supposedly gettin freaky with both men and women. Browneyedqweens says ewww! Contradictions I knw but hey we're just sayin.... anyhoot for more on this unbelievable sad tale of promiscuity... read more on www.straightfromthea.com
Almost every Super-Mega star has a clothing line, and others like rap artist TI seem to have one lingering (AKOO). However, not every star desires to intern like mega sensation Lady Gaga and learn the craft of the fashion industry/clothing. Well, the "UK Guardian" interviewed famed designer "Milliner Phillip Treacy". Yes, the man responsible for that Princess Beatrice hat at the royal wedding. Milliner stated in the interview that Lady Gaga approached him herself and asked to have the opportunity to intern for him once her schedules permits it>>> This is unique even for the crazed dresser Lady Gaga.. Browneyedqweens says GO GIRL!

It was 09 and Boston'S own EdoG was hosting Hip-Hop Unity Fest, The crowd was crazy amped as this young Southern gentleman starts to spit on stage. We gettin into his performance and his DJ just F's up this dude's whole set! Now you would think a person would quit after that right? NOPE! This dude brought it back tuned out the Naysayers and cursed the DJ then totally entrapped the crowd with his intellectual rhymes and twisted metaphors. He zoned out going over set time but it didnt matter at that point the crowd was captivated nothing could turn us loose, who dat is you ask... It was "Pyinfamous" Since then I've kept in contact with this Southern charmer, activist, entrepreneur and recently Crowned Coors Light Coldest MC... checkout the video and interview ...
Who is Pyinfamous AND Where does he hail from?
I'm from Mississippi - born and bred. I was born in the Mississippi Delta and grew up in a small town south of the state capitol. As far as who I am, I really just consider myself a regular guy who has been blessed to have a relationship with my Creator, relationships with awesome and talented people, and fantastic opportunities to touch people through my art.
What inspires the music, writing, performances in your musical career?
My music and writing are inspired by the struggles that I have gone through and that my family has seen. I also constantly draw from the suffering of the marginalized and socially and economically oppressed. On top of that, I just absolutely love hip-hop music, and I have since I was young.
My drive to give the fans a good show and to prove my talent as an emcee spark the passion in my performances. At the end of a show, I want the fans to walk away feeling like they saw one if the greatest shows in their lives, and I want rappers to reconsider rapping.
Whens the First time you touched the mic? At that moment did you know You wanted this "Rap thang"?
I think the first time I touched a mic was at an 8th grade dance. The rush I had that day was one I wanted to have over and over again.
Who in the rap game do you admire right now besides yourself?
I don't know that I admire myself, but there are a lot of emcees who I respect. Of course the greats like Mos Def, Nas, Jay-Z, Lupe, and Common; newcomers like Jay Electronica and Blu; and some cats I dig who everyone should check out - Ahmad Rashad and Saddi Sundiata, Lexx Black, Secret Jones, Skipp Coon, Coke Bumaye, Moses Rockwell, and Hassaan Mackey.
Whats been the biggest achievement for you thus far in your musical career?
I would say that my biggest achievement is staying true to myself and my craft and still being able to get respect in any hip-hop circle and be crowned the Coors Light Coldest MC in the nation. That's what's most important to me - speaking truth on a record every time.
Finally, what can people/fans expect from Pyinfamous, musically wise before 2011 is out?
I have a few projects that I'll be finishing up this year - Great Minds Think Alike with producer Colin Dunbar from Canada; The Exception with Demo Beatz out of Boston, MA; and Final Discussion with Sam.I.Am out of Rochester. I'll probably try to drop at least one video this year too, and I'll always keep dropping plenty of freestyles via Twitter and FB.

Rapper/Actor, 24, BowWOW finally owns up to the alledge rumors of him fathering a child. This week Bowwow presented a letter to his fans where he goes in to details on how he considered suicide, lying and coming to grip with fatherhood. Bowwow once the teen heartthrob has grown quite quickly under the covering of producer/rapper Jermaine Dupri then goin off on his own. I look at him as finally a man because he took a look at his "reflection" in the mirror and realized there's something better in life. Browneyedqweens are happy for the new father of "ShaSha" which he calls his daughter. People need to realize celebs are people too, and Bowwow needs to realize he owe's nobody nothing
Live in "hood news" famed raptress Nicki Minaj's cousin was brutally kilt in his lovely hood of Brooklyn. The popular singer/rapper Nicki Minaj expressed through her twitter account the sadness she felt: (@NickiMinaj:*My cousin Nicholas. Also goes by Juse, or @brolicalcoholic* Murdered. Last nite. Near his home. Brooklyn,NY)
As, I always state shootings are nothing new in the five boroughs of New York. And it is sad to say that even Celebrity's like Nicki Minaj have to come down back to reality and realize violence leaves out noone. Many friends&fans alike expressed their condolences to the star. Another life taken unvoluntarily.
Recently, Celebs and the common folk have jumped on this silly and dangerous fad called "Planking". After watching this video, I've finally gotten my answer on who? what? where? and how? this phenomenon started. I have been seeing picture's, video's and in person people of all ages doing this dumb thang. In all reality I do feel people are sadly led by media for all their ways they decide to run their lives.... However in this video above not all are accepting of the new pleasure sweeping the globe. This is all due in part to an Australian Rugby Player named David Williams, who ironically is my age(24). He, as you will see in video is the "Grandmater" of the Planking that has the nation following his moves.
Robert Ross, better known by his rap name Black Rob has something to prove to his fans, now back after a lengthy prison bid stemming from a robbery back in 2004. Rob says "Im back, working and making this music for yall, for the streets!" Black Rob has always been able to get on a track and make it pop. The former Bad Boy platnuim recording artist has always been talented. Black Rob has been fetured on many different songs with alot of different artist.
1996 - 112's "Come see me"
1997 - Faith Evans "Love Like This",
1997 - Mase "24 Hours To Live"
Puff Daddy & Bad Boy Family albums
1998 - Total "What About Us"
1999 - Biggie "The Notoroius B.I.G"
Black Rob has also worked with Cru, Benzino, Tony Touch, Channel Live, The Madd Rapper, Old Dirty Bastard, and others.
Black Rob is popular for his hit single "Whoa!" in 2000, which led Rob to drop his first album "Life Story". Black Rob's first album debuted as the #3 album in the top 200 Billboard chart, with an incredible 930,000 units sold. After dropping Life Story five years later Rob dropped his sophmore album titled "The Black Rob Report" which didnt produce the numbers that his last album did and to date only sold 90,000 units.
In 2006 the rapper was senteced to seven years in prison for missing a court date for a robbery back in 2004. Black Rob was released in the spring of 2010, and just 2 hours of him being released from prison he was in BET's studio to discuss his return and future plans. Black Rob is set to drop his 3rd album, "Game Tested, Streets Approved" Bad Boy "free" on July 26, 2011. Black Rob is now signed to an independent label called Duck Down Music INC. (www.DuckDown.com)
At his listening session held at SOB's this past wednesday night, Black Rob gives major props to his manager (Jemal Mosely) for always holding him down, even when Bad Boy downsized and eventually cut ties to the talented rapper. The Q&A session, hosted by Vibe's editorial director Dawton Thomas was very interesting. After 1 or 2 fruit cocktails courtesy of Jose Cuervo Platino, I began to disect his songs and loved his new music. "Celebration" and "Boiling Water" happen to be my two favorite songs sofar off the album. A few "ehhhh" songs of course (lol, sorry Rob) but over all, good music is what I was listening too. Rob says that this time around he feels that he is in better hands and is more prepared as far as his production is concerned. "At Bad Boy, there were times I had no music but still had to come up with songs." When asked what his views were on the state of hip hop and the music industry today Rob quickly answered saying "Same circus, different clowns". His 14-track album features great production from Buckwild, Coptic, and Black Rob himself.
"Alot of people love me, and they are going to love what Im doing!" -Black Rob
I say more power to you Rob! Hopefully there isn't any more jail time in your future and that more good music is on the way. Black Rob fans can purchase the deluxe-version on iTunes which includes three exclusive bonus tracks.
